Here's a rough timeline:

June 2007: frame installation surgery.  Could only use a walker or wheelchair.
November 2007: frame removal surgery, no instant change in mobility
February 2008: crutches
April 2008: slow walking (about half speed maximum) without crutches
November 2008: my current gait, normal walking, able to run with reasonalbe confidence despite internal nail
December 2008: nail removal surgery, full confidence in running

Quote from: HeightGain on May 16, 2022, 09:13:57 PMThe pictures of your scars look good. Do they look that good in real life?

I'm deciding between external and internal tibias and the thing holding me back for externals are the scars

Those pictures are true-to-life.

how much cm do you recommend doing in the femurs? I had thought 6-7, but if I can do more I will try more, do you think it's good?

It seems to me, that your recovery was prompt and good! I always thought external methods wouldn't permit patients to restore fundamental kinetic abilities previously.

By the way you did LL when I was 7 LOL

Do the minimum needed for you to be content with your height.

What do you think about Android who did cross lengthening? Should he have skipped external on femur?

Yeah, should've skipped that.  External femur is just a nasty experience. I had LL in 2007 and I'm still here. Ask me anything!

Yeah, things went all right.  If you work hard during lengthening you could probably recover at a faster rate than I did.

There was a 14 year old girl patient there.  Chinese.  I don't know why she was there; probably not CLL.  Hard to believe she's already almost 30. I had LL in 2007 and I'm still here. Ask me anything!

I think you mean a 30 year old girl as tall as 14 year old?
Some patients there were also maybe fixing bone discrepancies, I guess.

You said you would want to do 2 inches instead of 3. A while after you wished for the 2nd surgery. Did that change your mind about wishing for 2 inches instead of 3 in the first surgery also?
