Hi all,

I've discovered old forum  several years ago while in school and was interested in LL but never had the time nor money. I finished school, got a great job, and the thoughts about LL has resurfaced. I am from the Indian subcontinent, but born and raised in the States. I am 27 and 5'1". Now that I'm finished with school, its within our culture to look for someone to get married to. Most girls of our culture are looking for guys that are 5'7" or taller (even though their average height is 5'2"). I've had in-person relationships in the past (both taller and believe-it-or-not, shorter), but I met a girl online who seemed amazing, until the height question popped up and it went down hill from there, which rejuvenated my desire for LL. I see that a lot of guys start LL at 5'4"-5'7", yet I would LOVE to be that height at the end of the agonizing LL. In order to obtain the desired height of 5'7", or a gain of 15cm, I would need to complete two surgeries with recovery in the 3+ year range rather than 1-2 like most folks here. With that being said, would LL even be worth it in my situation? I see a lot of people on old forum  simply obsessed with height and LL. I would love to do it, but I am already a confident and successful guy without it. At the end of LL, I would STILL be shorter than the average guy and just taller than the average girl. So with that being said, would it even be worth it?

Thanks in advance!

I think if you have enough money it is worth.

Hi and Welcome!!!

Yeah, I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I am 5 ft 7 , but in my culture that is noticeably short.

In your culture being 5ft 7 would be pretty good!!! .  Is it even worth it in my case?

Go to the 'Information About Limb Lengthening' section and read as much as you can.

It will give you a good head start on what the procedure is all about and if its for you or not.

Are you seriously asking if you are too short for LL?  Is it even worth it in my case?

Cosmetic LL is designed for short people like you, so of course it's worth it!

Even if you "only" lengthen safe amounts like 7cm in femurs and 6cm in tibias, that would bring you to 1,68cm, which is still short but not super short anymore. There are a lot of men in the 1,65-1,70 range; this is not a alien height. And be sure, it would increase your chances to find a nice girl for your marriage plans - especially if you are already confident and successfull as you say.

If you want to go for more (15cm+), you should take a close look at your proportions first.

the shorteryou are the greater the benefits of LL

here is a the reasonn why.
at 5"1 another  3 inches or maybe even 4 inches will put you at 5"4.  thats the average girls height. Meaning you will now to stand to date around 20-30%  of that feamle population.

On the other hand, A 5'10 guy can date 90%+ of the female population before LL. So if he does LL he will only beable to date another 10% of the female population!

if u have another LL to take you to 5'7 you will then be able to date 70% of women. how awesome is that!!  You get ur monies worth at the lower end of the spectrum.

I dont bean to be mean but at 5'1 some girls would be calling you a borderline midget.

I have always said if i was 5'8 i would never bother with LL because i believe LL is for really short men.

If u r 5'8 and find urself doing LL then i feel sorry for you. With that said, once u do ur LL and see the befits of being taller, most guys tend to try and mild what ever it is that extra height can provide.

I cant wait to go from 5'4 to 5'8  and then 5'8 to 5'11. ha aha ha..why not!!

And no it wont take you 3 years.  9 months after ur first surgery you will be walking normally and without crutches. Unless u r one of those guys u want to return to competetive sport or jump off buildings like u were pre-LL then yes it will take more than 3 yrs if u lengthen 15cm or more

No, I don't think it's worth it for you.  If you're confident and successful without it, you don't belong with us crazy freaks on here.  Is it even worth it in my case?

I was a miserable loser before LL and it was what finally helped me get the confidence to turn my life around.  That's the only reason I don't regret LL.  It's not about your legs, it's about your mind.

I am also confident and successful but I know that LL can improve things in my life and I hope to do it in 2015.

I am in my early 30s and I had some of same questions about it being worth it.  One of the members of the other site who is in his mid 40s said that for him being short was something he never accepted and if he didn't do LL he would probably always regret it.

I think the benefits outweigh the risks, time, and money for me.  I think if I don't do it I will probably regret it.

Is anyone else planning on doing LL in 2015?

Honestly,

I would discourage limb lengthening to people who are happy with themselves where they are. I wish I didn't feel like limb lengthening was something I needed to do, because I'd rather save myself from all the crap that comes along with this procedure.

It is a ton of work . I know that reading the replies here from those who have had it done so have repeatedly said so.
