In that century people were caring way more about your aptitudes and achievements, substituted with obsessions into face build and height and similar bull s by the more and more intoxicating modern ideologies.

and I don't feel short just average. I think it's just you filtering out shorter people and focusing on " Oh that guy is taller than me ".

I see from your signature you have had LL, has it improved your life a lot? I'm at the height you are now basic and still feel short. Seems like anything under 6ft will be looked at as short.
Sorry for the offense, it's a bit harsh, but you're telling yourself something that's not true in your case. I think you're just ugly with no other qualities women like to be honest. Height is a thing, yes but not at 5'9". I am a weak 5'10" and i get girls left and right, nearly zero rejection and never had a single girl or even person commenting about my height, i am from Germany btw.
If you have problems at 5'9" nothing will change, if you magically grow a few inches more overnight, you won't wake up a desirable man, that's an illusion. In my apartment complex live some single guys with clearly above average height. 5 are about 6'3" to 6'6" and I haven't seen them with a single woman let alone any social contact in years.
Height alone will not make you more attractive, but it can destroy you if you are too short (5'9" fo sure isn't). Height is a bonus to your overall attractiveness. I never see ugly or average looking but tall guys with very hot chicks here in Germany. But i see hot chicks with attractive 5'8"+ guys tons of times.
