It's not. It probably saves you a few months at most. You'll be able to walk with Precice 2.2 anywhere between 4-6 months post-op in like 98% of cases.

I’ve heard a lot of patients had defects with it, I wouldn’t risk it until it’s tried and true

I was one of the lucky ones that was able to get the Stryde nail when it came out.  I can't help but to feel bad for everyone waiting on a new weight-bearing nail.  Dates just keep getting pushed back farther and farther.  It's easy for me to say this because I already did LL, but if I were looking to have this done currently...I would have to go ahead and just go with the nail they have now.  Don't postpone your new height and happiness for years just waiting on the Max.  I'm guessing hundreds of people have gone through with Precice 2...so it may be worth doing it now, plus I do think it was cheaper than the Stryde nail.  Anyways folks, don't delay your happiness for years waiting on this thing indefinitely, you could've been taller already for years if you had done it.
