Anyone cares to share some numbers?
It's easy to measure:![]()
I'm at 58 cm after lengthening 7.5 cm on my tibia, so my knee height was 50.5 before. Anyone's got more?
Quote from: Puertoricanwasp123 on January 23, 2015, 09:02:33 PMMine's 19 inches.
Wow! That's some tiny tibias! (1.7 inch under 5th percentile) You should probably do tibias then instead of femurs.
Quote from: ItsMyLife on January 24, 2015, 10:17:01 PMabout 55 cm for 1.78 height
could i reach 1.81 and 58 cm ? what percentile is that
http://msis.jsc.nasa.gov/sections/section03.htm
50th percentile is 56.7 cm
95th percentile is 60.9 cm
Keep in mind that the measurements are taken from NASA crewmembers, where the average height for US male is 180 cm. (95th is 190 cm). So you seem to fit fine.
Quote from: Shor7Guy on January 25, 2015, 11:35:19 PMfor normal population 95th percentile is 58cm

You must have really short legs then (or you measured wrong). Do you know your belly button height? (the distance between the ground and your belly button)
Predicted stature from knee height
http://www.nuas.ac.jp/IHN/report/pdf/04/01.pdf
=59.1+2.1×knee height(cm)
So your tibias are usual for someone 170.5 cm tall.
Quote from: theuprising on August 29, 2015, 02:57:46 PM58cm for 177cm height. Is that within the norm?
I'm at 57.5 after having lengthened 7.5 cm. And I also lengthened my femurs 7.5. That means our legs are of the same length and I'm 182. Which means I have 5 cms of SH on you. The dream. You either messed up with your measurements or your legs are reeeaaally long. Are you black by any chance?
Quote from: theuprising on August 29, 2015, 05:30:30 PMNo I am calculating future lengthening. If I did 6cm on tibia I'd be 58cm knee height at 177. Then If I did 9 cm on femur to equal your total amount of lengthening I'd be 186cm. I am just over an inch taller than your start height. I think you calculated wrong as my sitting height is still higher than yours.
You've just ruined my dream.
Quote from: theuprising on August 29, 2015, 05:49:23 PMHaha sorry man. If you don't mind sharing what is your tibia to femur ratio after lengthening. Did you do 7.5cm on each segment for any particular reason rather than the standard less on tibia more on femurs approach?
Not really I just like things equal.
Quotefemur length D/S = 541mm/541mm
tibia length D/S = 435mm/435mm
The ratio is 0.8 according to the standing x-ray.
