Hi Guys,
New here.
Just been wondering what you guys think about getting the procedure done there.

This doctor has devised a new method he calls MTN which is a mostly internal method, similar to Precise and Fitbone, but its manual in the sense that you have to turn a screw for the lengthening to work. The nails are also titanium and (I suppose) biocompatible. Apparently the Precise nails cost 10-30k themselves so if they have their own nails manufactured in Iran it must be a lot cheaper there. Maybe like 25k or something (usd). For me, it’s the only option I have because of the price. Also, I have family in Iran so I won’t need to pay for accommodation. Also there’s the care you can get with every day life there. I also found this scientific article which claims that the procedure has had a good track record:

It seems to come from a reputable journal but I don’t know how much we can trust the data reported by the researchers. One of the publishers is the doctor doing the surgeries. Idk, just want to get some opinions here. And also want to know if anyone has heard anything.
If there is anyone here who's had an experience with this doctor please let me know.
for me that just means don't do it because i can't afford anything else. This doctor does LON as well but I thought MTN is better as an internal method. It's apparently based on the same principles as Precise or Fitbone but it's manual instead of being magnetic.
'direct connection of the inner bone canal to the open atmosphere' - wtf, are you going into space to lengthen your legs!!?? 🤣
'infection risk is zero' ?? - what kind of a bald, racist fascist orthopaedic surgeon are you?? -

I get you. We have to as well on that 100k is an obscene amount of money to shell out for Precise that very few of us have. But that doesn't mean I can cheap out on the procedure either. I just have to come to terms with it. Now that I know it's an option, it's hard to get it out of my head, but i shall try...
when are you planning to do it - 2032??
that's another thing, im already in my 30s. I probaly have another 2-3 years to be able to handle the procedure.
Ilizarov, Russia, €15,000 - Volgograd or St Petersburg 👍
I think youre joking but, just in case, if a doctor is willing to do Ilizarov for elective LL, that automatically means s/he should not be trusted.
I think this means you really do not have a clue - ok, come back in 3 years 🙈
