Guess try not to nap too much in day.  Expect pain more at night so try to sleep through it

140p finished with OT PT.  Showed me bed exercises like ankle flex, butt squeeze, quad push knee into bed, bend legs, move legs side to side.  Supposed to do 10 reps each, and the whole thing 4x/day.  Showed transfer bed to walker, walker to wheel chair.  Showed"hop" with walker.  I got 75lb. nails so i can stand without walker as long as equal weight in both feet.

It was not as hard as i expected.  Legs are more functional than i expected.  Hurts a 2 or 3 to do things like scoot to edge of bed, bend leg at edge of bed.   Walker hopping did not hurt.  Though when i tried to lift off from wheel chair by doing a dip (gym exercise) with the armrests just now, thighs flare with pain, no way i can lift off. Not sure why because i was doing this stuff when the OT and PT were here.  So i might be stuck in wheel chair till they get back.

Earlier,  the kitchen brought me a double portion lunch.  Pretty much ate it all skipped some cheese and pudding for cholesterol/diabetes reasons.

They helped me back in bed.  3p now

Feel in good spirits, probably because 75lb. nails.  I thought i wasn't going to get the sensation of standing on my feet for 3-4 months.  No pain in legs when still, but movement instantly hurts.   2 for small movements,  up to 6 for big.  For now just swap hip sides (left hip then right hip) for butt-compression relief. Lying on hip hurts a little, but can handle for a few minutes.

They took off my finger O2 sensor and heart monitor electrodes.  Nice to be free of the wires but it doesn't change much.

544p it's cold in my room and I'm feeling a bit lonely.   Miss my family.  Brief interaction with nurses is better than nothing.  Guess this be a tiny glimpse of how people say the long game of LL is mental.

Aww they brought a double order again (dinner). So they took the breakfast request to heart.  I had to turn it away though i couldn't eat both, not very hungry.

When my family leaves i definitely need to figure out some system for regular social interaction.  I'm an introvert and terrible at social interaction but I'll probably love it for the first time in my life.

Mm it's really good piping hot turkey with gravy and green beans and potatoes. Should have taken it

635p toradol

940p read a friends tough day and i probably should be working harder.   Use the ice packs more even though they a little uncomfortable and do the spirometer more.  With bed PT, washing up, spirometer, ice pack, and take-breaks-on-side-to-relieve-butt-pressure, it actually makes for a fairly occupied day.  I mean, you wont feel unproductive.  And i spend less time scrolling on phone and don't have the capacity for video games.   My brain doesn't want to think and calculate. So my neck is healthier.
