What do u mean by 'attractive' and 'unattrative'? Do you mean 'having a good face' and 'having an ugly face'?
If the voters misunderstood what you meant by them and for sure they got lost in the meanings of options and this data won't wash.

I assume he's talking about face, which is an important problem in the poll given how crucial facial attractiveness is in the dating world.

I would say it's true as long as you're no more than 1 standard deviation below the norm. Even then, it's probably better to be good-looking and short over tall and ugly.

There’s a Chinese online dating forum I used to go to. Users have to be at least 23 and most are under 30. Most girls would say height matters more than looks if you ask them, and their height requirements were usually at least 175 cm+. However when short but good looking guys posted on the forum, I surprisingly found that they got a lot more positive comments under their posts and it seemed that girls suddenly stopped caring about height that much… I had never seen any ugly guys had many positive comments, no matter they were tall or short, rich or poor. It’s usually very quiet under their posts.
