Hello guys
So I am currently in TSF frames and recovering from a bilateral tibia deformity correction. It was a mild case of procurvatum deformity in both tibias.
This is via the NHS so it’s paid for by my healthcare. Im not paying for this surgery out of pocket.
My surgeon has allowed me to lengthen a small amount also. He said I can lengthen between 1cm to 2cm. The choice is mine.
However, considering that it’s with external, I absolutely hate the fact that I will have to stay in frames for a long time.
So far, I’ve lengthened 0.4cm. The choice is mine. I can either go for 1cm or 2cm.
I’d love to ask you guys, how long would I need to stay in the TSF frames for each of the lengthening amounts?
How long for 1cm along with mild deformity correction?
How long for 2cm along with mild deformity correction?
And finally, what do you guys think about possibly getting a nail, so I can get rid of the frames earlier?
I’d love to hear from you all
Thanks guys
