No.  If you push back he will keep behaving the way he did.

If you ignore him he will go away.

You will not cure someone of racism by insulting them on a message board, especially when they might not even be a racist deep down, just a troublemaker looking to get a rise out of people.

But if everyone just brushes these comments off, they become acceptable. Isn't this passive discrimination what has been plaguing Asian-Americans for decades?

None of this will cure racism. It will just likely make someone think twice before saying insensitive things.

In any case, I understand that as a moderator, you don't want to be deleting posts. I'll try to be nicer next time, but racists just trigger me every time.

You're probably out of context, but there was a block of racists posts that got deleted on this thread. The individual was pretending to be white so he could claim he's better than Asians. Turns out he was 3/4 North African and pointing that out really triggered him.

No, it won't.  That guy came here only to cause trouble and fight with people, and you gave him what he wanted which is why he had 11 posts for me to delete instead of 3 or 4 in the brief time he was here.
