1) yes there is a proportion between sleep and gh but I guess this does not cause serious height loss
2) When parents are short, children are short, but sometimes parents are short, even if they are short. I saw 168 mom Father 169 boy claim 183

early puberty, hypogonadism, low hg high, estrogen all of which can cause short stature

5'6" dad and 5'1" mom. I'm actually slightly below average height in my native country.

A heart problem when I was a baby and one of the antibiotics I had to take. Both caused stunted growth.
I ended up shorter than my dad and way shorter than my brother.
My doctors calculated that I lost at least 15cm of my final height because of that.
