I’ve got a short torso but long arms and legs, I’m 173cm and wanna do 3 inches in femurs. Should I just forget about it since I’ll look like a mutant or just go through with it

Go for it, better be tall with cartoonish proportions than be short with godlike proportions. Also as an optimist, hope spine lengthening becomes available in 20 years so you'll end up even with more height

spine basically contains your central nervous system which doesn't regenerate like peripheral one. Spine is basically part of your brain so it's not possible and will not be possible in our lifetimes.

my torso is pretty short also. i have short torso but stand taller then one of my friends who has normal proportion. i was the shortest guy sitting in a group and when i stand up im not that short anymore with some shoes on. if i go for another 2.7 inches it would probably be noticeable that i did some surgery when im sitting. all is good. grls mostly look at u standing most of the times anyways.

You are choosing between being short and being a little disproportional.

Evaluate the pros and cons and make a decision.

Bulk and built a wide back and shoulders. And generally built muscles. It wimon't make you appear taller but for sure you will be bigger. And people always think intstictively that being big is about as being tall, unless you are too short.
So if you have disproportionately short torso after LL, the only way is to build muscles and wear well measured clothes (t shirts, shirts etc). Then you will look way better, guaranteed.
Personally, I like the look of a relatively short and buffed torso with long legs. It looks like some female models with skinny bodies, big fake tits and extra long legs which is for me the perfect body for a woman. And as all experienced men know, muscles in men are like tits in women, so very important to be attractive, at least for the majority of the opposite sex.

Arm length relative to torso and pelvis is also a very significant determinant of male's attractiveness.

I myself have small hands at 17.5 cm but my arm length relative to torso and pelvis is proportional, so does the humerus:forearm ratio. The shape of arms is also a very significant factor of attractiveness.

My arm length from acromion bone to middle finger is 72 cm, but since I have small hands at 17.5 cm, it means that my arm length for my height is very normal. Most men have on average 19.5 cm hand length so if I had a bit longer palm and fingers my arm length should have been 74 cm instead of 72 cm. The same goes for my wingspan. It's about 166-167 cm but if I had 19.5 cm hand length it should have been +4 cm more at 170-171 cm.

My elbow tip when I relax the humerus and bent it 90 degrees is in parallel to my navel and looks proportional to my torso. That Artem Lobov guy from MMA has very short humerus for his torso, hence looks like a t-rex. Humerus length relative to torso length is very important for aesthetics and proportions for a male, even for a female.

My only issue is my long and wide torso relative to my legs. I think that 10% of original bone length in one go per limb is the safest way to do LL for many reasons. I don't want to risk too much, neither do I want to become the tallest I can with LL. 8 cm total is fine which is 10% of my current leg length. 3.5 cm on tibia and 4.5 cm on femurs is the safest way to do LL for me.

My proportions will become better since my legs will be in ideal proportion to my torso and my arm length relative to torso and pelvis will remain the same, only the distance from middle finger to knee will increase due to femoral lengthening of 4.5 cm, which is not that dramatic and not that important (arm length relative to pelvis is more important).
