Preserve your marrow, just do one segment.

1. be capped at 10cm.
2. sacrifice 2cm and proportionality (depending on starting ratio), wait a year then reach 13cm.

3. if you have the money and time: lengthen the same segment again after consolidation and soft tissue recovery.

I would do 8 cm femur to get to 171 cm, if your're lucky enough that your body can tolerate 8 cm, since your starting height ain't that great. Then if you feel like that huge gain wasn't enough, you can do tibias. By spreading the 2 segments out, you gain more height and safety than doing both at once.

Do we know anything about the marrow effect of LL?
As in, does it regenerates 100% once rods are gone?
Is the immune system etc. more at risk while rods are in etc

Just do 1 segment, there's no need for twice the costs and a lot more recovery time for 2cm more

If you do 2 segments it has to be worth it i.e. 8+5. That'd get you to 176 which absolutely worth be worth it.

I thought marrow comes back when the nails come out but I could be wrong.

The where space marrow used to be is replaced by fluid.

It's not that big of a deal because in adults the long bones have mostly useless yellow marrow in them, but in some biological emergencies yellow marrow can be converted back to red marrow.

Is there no way for the yellow marrow to come back?
