Why aren't Moderators helping with fakes

Why aren't moderators doing more to expose fake diaries?

IP Address is tracked on each login and post, I've never seen a moderator expose a fake diary or anything when there has definitely been many, it's always up to us ourselves to find out whether a post is legitimate or not.

Can any moderator shed light on this? If I have to do it myself then make me the moderator, I'll do it.

If IP address isn't enough to track fakes then I'm sure this website can request more info through cookies etc.

Mods can't see IP addresses. That wasn't given to us as a feature by the site admin.

There's no way of knowing if someone from a given IP address is really getting LL or not.  If we demanded photos, personal information, medical documentation, etc. in order to allow diaries, but most people wouldn't post at all.  LLers value anonymity.

What are some recent fake diaries? Are they working for the doctor who did their “surgery “?

Nobody has proof as far as I know, just suspicion and accusations.

Show me proof and I'll absolutely delete the diary and ban the user.

He was worried power would corrupt him like it did every other past LL forum owner.  He was a cool poster but I'm glad he did it for the sake of the forum.

He's never coming back except to occasionally do something only he can do for the site.
