Why aren't Moderators helping with fakes

Why aren't moderators doing more to expose fake diaries?

IP Address is tracked on each login and post, I've never seen a moderator expose a fake diary or anything when there has definitely been many, it's always up to us ourselves to find out whether a post is legitimate or not.

Can any moderator shed light on this? If I have to do it myself then make me the moderator, I'll do it.

If IP address isn't enough to track fakes then I'm sure this website can request more info through cookies etc.

You must have someway of contacting the admin, even if he replies late, it's something that should have been brought up a long time ago. Enabling moderators to see an IP Address wouldn't be a difficult thing to do nor would it be difficult to have better security to authenticate users. I'm not saying add finger printer logins or anything but a simple location tracking feature which 99% of websites do anyways wouldn't be excessive.

This entire forum is flooded with fakes and occasional spam, the moderators doing nothing about it is not a good look for the website or the 'community'.

Sorry to be a Karen but this is about people's lives and doing these simple things would be the difference between someone becoming paralysed or losing tens of thousand and having a successful surgery.

Of course there's no way of knowing whether they're doing LL or not but if IP Addresses match between different users then it would be an obvious fake. That was my point. Anonymity isn't the issue.

Yes most of the time it's someone in the Dr's team making fake diaries to gain trust etc
