Why are you guys demonizing arm lengthening so much?
Of course it's fatuous to do 'forearm lengthening' but 'upper arm lengthening' is even safer than limb lengthening.
Just do one surgery and see how you feel afterwards lol. These surgeries are no joke.

'three surgeries is the charm' is ridiculous.
Proportions do not matter.
No one that has done their surgery has complained about their ratios. People on this forum just want to make it a problem when it isn't. Lengthen your legs and then stop, no need to lengthen arms and who knows what else people on this forum want to lengthen.
Actually a few people do dislike their post LL proportions. Unfortunately this site has mostly extremes in views. Some like you incorrectly say proportions never matter. Others think even 1 stdev from the mean is bad lol. Truth is in between. Proportions usually don't matter but larger LL often do cause unnatural looking proportions. YMMV. Average to above average ape index and doing 5cm it's non issue. 8cm or more and shorter than average arms is where it often will matter.

+1
8cm Femurs is generally the best move to start. Safer than Tibia and more gain and often patients end up happy and move on. Some go back for Tibia and/or arm LL if still suffering height disphoria. It's really not a one size fits all situation. Some people start 5'3" and others 5'9", and some start -2" ape index and others +3".
this is true, arm proportions are often overlooked, I lengthened Femurs by 8cm and my arms do look short in Pictures, and something looks a bit off, I notice others may not.

What is your current height and what is your wingspan?
The average ratio is almost 1:1.
Skewing that slightly won't have a noticeable impact on appearance. In my opinion, as long as you are within two inches of your height, you'll be fine. Once you go beyond two inches is when things start to get uncanny, but even then not terribly so.
Ask yourself this:
Would I be overall more attractive being a tall(or)average height, but with slightly short arms?
or
Would I be overall more attractive being a short height, but with normal proportioned arms?
The answer is simple.
To some arm length is important, what’s your arm length at the moment?
Quote from: MyLongLegsAndMe on August 06, 2019, 03:50:17 PMThe vast majority of discussion on this site is about lengthening of the legs, as it should be. However, I think we need to also put somewhat of a spotlight on the arms. A lot of people's concerns are their proportions. While they can't be perfect compared to naturally tall person, imo, the arms go a long way and are often overlooked by this community.
If you get arm lengthening, you can get the upper bones in your arm lengthened by 3-6cm, making them significantly longer and giving you a more grown appearance. It costs the same as the other surgeries, and will go a long way.
If you only do one surgery for your legs, then you can do without arm lengthening. But imo, two leg lengthening procedures with no arm lengthening looks incomplete.
Some of you will say that it's not worth the price or people won't notice or don't care. That could be true, depending on how long your arms already are.
But the way I feel, three surgeries is the charm. Feel free to chime in, I'm curious.
No female is going to assess you by your arm length. This one is very much an all-in-one's-head in terms of arm proportion mattering or not. And let's suppose you do lengthen a couple centimeters on the humerus. Literally no one would notice. The only people who will criticize your arm length as being T-rex like are anonymous people on forums like this who haven't even seen you in real life anyway.
Arm lengthening would be interesting to see a diary
Does anyone know if it is possible to continue lifting weights and doing pull-ups after a humerus lengthening procedure?
