Hi all,
I'm currently making a spread sheet of all the doctors I'm considering for doing this surgery. My goal is to lengthen both femurs and tibias for a total gain of 10cm. Obviously there are lots of factors to consider when picking a clinic & doctor to work with: cost, location, reputation, method used, etc.

I started making an on-line data base of current practicing surgeons that perform this surgery in the world. I think it may be helpful to someone who is currently contemplating on picking a clinic. You can sort by column based on the parameter that is important to you: cost, reputation, method, etc. You can also just copy the template and start building your own lists.

I'm adding more doctors to this, it's by no means a complete list. The reputation score is my subjective opinion based on what I've heard about the doctor up to this point. I am open to suggestions, opinions & comments about this spreadsheet.

Why Dr. Giotikas is rated so poorly ?

One suggestion I would make perhaps is to use something like a 1-3 scale instead of a 1-10 scale.

1 = stay away, don't go here if you can avoid it
2 = caution, but okay to go here probably
3 = this is a good surgeon, you're in safe hands

This is probably more useful to most people rather than trying to figure out why one doctor is a 7/10 versus an 8/10. Pretty much all the Turkish doctors would be in the 1st category, while someone like Paley would go in the 3rd category.

How can Dr Mustafa Uysal be rated the same as Yurttas and Unus when those 2 are constantly getting bad cases whereas i've never ever come across a bad case about Dr Uysal

Giotikas is looking like the best compromise in terms of price and quality.

Yes the reputation rating column is completely subjective and is only my personal opinion given what I've heard about the said doctor on this forum, past patients, and the Internet as a whole. The prices for the surgeries, doctors' locations, and methods are all objective stats, however. I'm pulling that data directly from doctors' websites and/or consultations.

I've added a few more doctors on there today. Thanks for all the tips so far!

I considering Doctor Giotikas for this surgery because there is no other option in europe and the value for money is the best.
