Hey all, been a longtime lurker. Real-life obligations finally allowed me to do limb lengthening, which I've been doing since 20 May. I'm doing LON tibias in Vietnam, starting height was 174 cm and my goal was 181 cm. Now that I'm coming up on 6 cm, however, I've been reassessing. My condition is very good - I have almost no equinus, no involuntary knee contraction, and I can walk with relative ease still. I have no pain during PT, very minimal pain while walking, and no pain while inactive.

I've been given the go-ahead to continue lengthening to 7 cm by my doctor. However, I'm thinking that maybe I should stop while everything's green, rather than risk excessive damage for one more centimeter. From what I've read on the forum over the years, the majority of your post-recovery athletic ability is lost between 6-7 cm, which is another factor. I'll sleep on it for a couple more nights, but does anybody who lengthened to 7 cm (or around there) wanna weigh in?

Some stats from before lengthening:
R Tibia: 35.8 cm
L Tibia: 35.6 cm
R Femur: 41.5
L Femur: 41.4

This person is a scam. Do not trust them.

In DMs I asked them for the name of their doctor, and they said Dr. Quynh.

I then asked them for Dr. Quynh’s website, and they linked me this website: https://www.limblengtheningvietnam.com/

That is not Dr. Quynh’s actual website. This is a scam website that was created by someone other than Dr. Quynh. If you make a deposit through this website, you will not be paying Dr. Quynh. You will be paying a scammer.

It’s funny that it says on the homepage of the website “Vietnam’s only center offering limb lengthening with a money-back guarantee. Beware of imitators and scammers” … when they are the one scamming, lol …

It wasn't my intent to scam or to perpetuate a scam, if that website I sent you is bogus that's my bad. I didn't actually use the website, I used their WhatsApp number to book my surgery. I checked just now, and that WhatsApp number is the same one I messaged. In any case, do what you will. I only linked their website because it was one of the questions you asked, if you hadn't asked it I never would've brought it up.

At 5.7 cm - Stop at 6 or continue to 7?

I havent done LL but ive read a lot of diaries and 7cm tibia recovery is possible and ive seen many diaries with it, however its definitely more risky than 6cm. if your near 6cm with no issues, and your going to be 180cm, I think thats fine. Most height related statistics seem to peak out around 180cm, in Europe 180cm is the number instead of 6ft, so I probably wouldnt risk it for the extra cm. From what ive heard, risks are not linear, 6-7 is way more risky than 5-6. So if I was you I'd probably stop.

Oh yah I was in contact with them on fb. If u haven't verified the Pic I would have my doubt too. Everyone on here always call out every post not sure why that is. I wanted to do femur but I'm scared to do it in Vietnam. People are warning me lol. But yeh. My goal was around 8 cm. But I went down to 5.5cm because I couldn't handle the pain. I had burning sensation. U should go more if ur muscle tendon isn't stretched all the way. The muscle will get better by months. But shouldn't stretched it all the way if u get what im saying.
