You have Chad looks, full hair, in shape. Go for 5 inches and you'll be ready for anything. Just know, that 2 LL procedures will mess with athletic capabilities, even just 1 will. You will need to keep that in mind. Have someone here do a mockup. stay within wingspan proportions. If you go above it, just don't overdo it...but most people won't notice.
logical up to 5'8 (in usa lets assume 5 9.5 average)
after that it becomes less and less reasonable and after 5'11 I dont think it could be worth it.

My theory is simple: men should be tall, muscular and masculine and women should be shorter, slim and feminine !
I never liked to see women taller than me...
Ideally, every sex should have access to the opposite sex members, women to be maximum 1.75m tall and men to be minimum 1.80m tall.
But, for women is a disaster to be very tall, like over 1.75m. I was talking with women taller than 1.80 and they were desperate, because the have very small amount of men over 1.90m available for them... and they wanted to shorten their legs. But shortening comes with another disaster, having short legs and ugly proportion for a woman and some neuro-motoric and biomechanics disfunctions...
In dating reality height matters a lot and for men being over 180cm usually makes life easier no need to pretend otherwise. It is not a “law” but it is a strong advantage in most countries and in most social circles
For women being very tall can be more complicated too not because they are wrong or “a disaster” but because the dating pool gets smaller if they specifically want a man clearly taller than them. I have also seen tall women feel stressed about this, especially 175+ and even more around 180+
What I would add is this
it is not that tall women look bad, many look great, but if they are uncomfortable with the situation then the solution should not be extreme choices like shortening. Shortening has its own risks and can create proportion and biomechanical issues like you said. It can turn one problem into a bigger one
So yes I agree
for men over 180 is a sweet spot
and for women being very tall can reduce options if they want a taller partner
but i would keep the tone respectful because tall women are still women and many are beautiful and confident, the issue is mostly the “preferences market” not their body itself
