Diary - 5cm LON Tibia in hanoi by Dr. Doan
How is the pain like in the first few days? How did u manage to stay long term there? I heard they have an apartment provided at the price? Were there any foreigners? Whats ur lengthening rate? Sorry for all these questions, im getting my LL soon so i want to hear more.
the pain for the first few days were quite bad like 6/10 bad. I am supposed to apply for a visa but i am just going to overstay and pay a fine instead, because i am already in the country and it’s kinda difficult to extend my stay. Yea i know some patients at the hospital that spoke english and we found an apartment together. Majority are locals but there were a fee foreigners from Singapore, China, Japan and US. I am lengthening 1mm/day as i do not want any complications or nerve damage. my roommate lengthen at 1.33mm a day and was screaming because of the nerve pain.
Did you have to apply for the initial visa or did the clinic do it for you?
i am not sure about the screws, but the visa i am supposed to apply before entering but i did not. the clinic doesn’t do it for you
lost alot of weight about 5kg in 3 weeks. getting on average 4hrs a sleep every night. night time is the worst, morning is the best part of the day. Pain level is about 2/10 every time i wake up from the soreness of the legs. Knee bending is great on the left leg and good on the right leg.
Good luck! Did you find the pain unbearably excrutiating in any point of time?
Thank you! I will be 2cm longer in 3 days. No pain that was excruciatingly painful. But I have started to experience some random zaps of electric shock in my shins. Those are about 4/10 but it is only for that instance. Other than that, I think everything is going well, just kinda boring. Only looking forward to my x ray on 9 June which is exactly 3 weeks from now.
Hi! I think 0.75mm is better for tibias. If you feel uncomfortable, just slow down.
