i like to play it safe and honestly my mental state is telling me to tap out. I am only holding on cause 5cm is the lowest i would tap out at. broke down 4 times this week because of the pain.

Hmm have you tried reducing the lengthening rate to 0.75mm per day? 1mm may be too fast for tibias. Can help with stretching pain.

Nope I stayed with 1mm/ day. got hospitalized because of the pain and at the same time took my x ray. Left leg is 2.2cm right leg 2.0cm. Somehow I tot I would be at least 2.4mm and 2.3mm but seems like the turning does not always translates to 1mm. Taking too much neurotin fks with my brain and made me hella depressed and suicidal. got an anxiety attack at the hospital last night but everything is pain free now. Slept the longest 7hr of sleep at the hospital last night.

22 more days to frame removal and getting some good sleep!!! please let me survive this remaining days. Leg pain’s definitely gotten much better. But sleep is still bad.🥲

Not too much longer left, it'll be over soon!

I wonder why Dr. Doan is doing 1mm daily distraction for tibias? It's widely regarded that the safe amount is .75mm for tibias. A lot of your pain and discomfort could've been avoided if you did .75mm instead of 1.0mm. Do you know why Dr. Doan does 1.0mm for Tibias? It's just very strange and atypical.

Was your friend, who is doing 1.33mm a day, also lengthening tibias? If so, that's extremely worrying that the Doctor would allow it, and I'm really curious what his reasoning is. Even for femurs 1.0mm a day is normal/the "safe" limit.

How much was the procedure, including the frames? And how much was the hotel/accommodation fees?

How is your dorsiflexion? Are you experiencing any equinus/ballerina foot?

1.0mm a day is fine for me i feel no pain at all but when i exceed that the pain really hits hard. the cost for foreigners is about 15k usd for the surgery. you still need to find accommodation and other stuff.
