Damn, so you were planning to do a second LL just because you were moving to Finland.
I had LL in 2007 and I'm still here. Ask me anything!
Dr. Giotikas says to plan for plus or minus two weeks for dates in case of complications.
For the return flight back to the USA (ex: to D.C. most likely), what strategy would you use to account for this?
It seems like there are a few strategies:
1. Only book a 1 way to Athens and then decide later
2. Book a round trip and try to get the second part refunded if I need to change the date (Which airlines allow this?)
3. Book a round trip but pay for some kind of flight insurance with the airline company
I'm trying to figure out a good strategy given that gas prices will go up so plane ticket prices go up
I know very little about airlines and travel insurance.
If you had to redo the LL again the same way, would you do 5cm or 5.5cm or 6cm?
Say you were mid 20’s again in 2022, who would you choose to operate on you if you had a similar budget to the past. AKA can’t choose Paley, Betz, or other US doctors
Hi, can you summarise how was your "physiotherapy" or exercise routine after surgery as advised by the surgeon? Mostly normal walking on crutches? Fixed bike? Both? Professional physiotherapist specific movements? Same in lenghtening as in consolidation phases? Thanks!

I'd probably just stick to 5.

Probably Giotikas. If not him, Parihar.

The gym at the hospital had wooden wedges for patients to stand on, a leg extension machine, and a treadmill. Few people went there though. Lying in bed and lifting your whole leg was recommended. Everyone used walkers, so using them was encouraged, as was standing in place. Also, they provided sandbags to put on your knees.

If your starting height were 5'6", how much would you do?

Wouldn't the death case bother you though? If you were to do external tibia lengthening and money wasn't an issue, which surgeon would you go to?
