Maybe it is that those who aren't ready to have their frames removed without support or being ready risk losing some height.

Thats my point. If callus formation is 100% then with internals or externals I can't understand how you could lose height, especially that much.
If someone waits about 45-50 days for every cm he lengthens then I doubt if they lose more than 1-2mm after frame removal.

Quote from: Body Builder on September 22, 2017, 11:33:10 PMI don't think it happens to all external fixation cases, at least at that degree.
In my case I haven't lost anything (or at least not more than 2mm which is almost non countable).

Yes, do you know if subsidence exist when you only use Internal Nails? That thing according to some docs, like Dr.B, is not fully understood yet.

I don't think that subsidence can happen with internals as when you take them out the bone is fully consolidated.

I don't really know when it happens as I didn't have it in my case but as I said I believe that if your bones are completely consolidated it won't happen.
So the only thing an LLer can do is to be patient and take fixators out only when the callus is very strong.

Maybe walking while in fixators can compress the callus a little bit, but you dont cant fight with eqiinus if you dont do It.
