There are several other surgeons who perform the surgery at this centre - not Paley himself. It is just affiliated with Paley and uses the same methodology, PT, follow up structure as the Paley Institute in Florida.
what follow up structure? once every 2 weeks? thats globally the case.
leg length surgery stretches are simple but the PTs need to be trained well. They are in Florida but in this new hospital?

Hi guys
I am patient at European institute
And I must commend the complex cases dr. Paley handles here. Recently a kid was told by all doctors to get amputation for legs and paley operated and saved the legs. I see this child in recovery and on 2 months he would be walking.
I was to do my surgery jn Florida but due to Covid I couldn’t do it. Hence dr. Paley suggested I do it in poland.
If he does surgery it’s 90k usd which was my case. Any complications keep another 10k extra which I did due to my ft embolism.
The local doctors here who do follow up were all trained in Florida under dr. Paley and then senior guy was sent to open European office in poland. The institute is expanding.
Doing it with local docs would be around 65k usd but then paley doesn’t operate the senior guy here does.
I love approach here because they deal with so many kids they didn’t care how many hours of physio I needed the local team gave me what was needed for my recovery.
I am now in last month of distraction and from there on I am back to Portugal.
It worked out great for me and I don’t think this is like a fast food franchise.
Dr. Paley is saving lives and dreams of many young children and I truly salute his work. Sadly we see only CLL side to it but the world is out there for severe deformities that need true skills to rectify.
Also I learnt patience and perseverance as these young kids tolerate severe therapy which even I can’t.
Overall great.
Dr. Paley oversees and visits European arm and he told me once if they were not upto my standards I would not add my name to it.
So it’s not a franchise but his European wing.
