Lengthening when legs is still swollen is not good idea i have pain today 8/10, i need stop until swollen gone and 1mm will be nice idea, when i start by 2mm 4 days and today left leg wanna came out pain 8/10
Dude, don't be retarded. You will be crippling yourself for life. In tibias even 1mm is too much. Almost every single experienced LL doctor (i.e. Paley. Mahboubian, Betz, etc...) recommends 0,75mm per day and sometimes 0,5mm per day for tibias. You have much less blood in your tibias, it cannot take 1mm per day like femurs.
1mm or 1,5mm per day would already be stupid. But 2mm per day would probably put you in a wheelchair or crutches for the rest of your life.
Quote from: Meck on February 26, 2020, 08:54:45 PMI decide to stay in hotel this time until lengthening done on tibia, becasue I don't have internal nail and this fixator move to much i have feeling will broke every moment. So better for me stay into hotel and finish lengthening and remove fixator and get nail inside, becasue when I stand up now my bones move to much inside and is danger go home like this, I will try lengthening litle faster 1.5mm sametime 2mm per day and i will give my best
please don't do this, please..
it's contrary Cll..
for your health, please

do you use pain medication? Because you seem to suffer alot from pain.
Good luck with tibia bro
I feel like the only reason I’m going to keep tabs on this story is To remember what NOT to do.
This is completely crazy. I hope you are getting opinions from other QUALIFIED doctors. And hope you let your body heal into a safer recovery...
So what I need to do now i canot go home, my bones move to much when i try wallk becasue I have no nail inside and this litle fixator is not enough to keep my bones in space, walking home not possible, i must stay here until lengthening done i try get litle faster lengthening because is bored here in hotel and i must stay for 2 months, now i stop lengthening maybe one day to see how mu legs will be, if i have internal nail i can go home but i dont have l, i call my doctor to bring me contramal because I don't have it and when he came i will ask him what to do, because this is not lengthening over nail, i have no nail and wallk not possible, this is like Lazarus system only i dont have that fixators i have worst
you are in huge danger of non union. the only reason why anyone should go over 1mm per day is when the bones are healing to quickly and the callous is forming to fast. if there is a gap between your callous healing it will never heal and you will have to shorten or get a bone graft. i cannot believe how irresponsible your doctor is. if i was you i would go and see an experienced ll doctor shown him your xrays and tell him how you have sped up your lengthening. the tibias also are much more at risk then the femurs. Good luck
I will suggest stop to length your tibia now. I know it is hard, but brother you put yourself too danger. For my tibia experience, my doctor is Dr. Salameh. The first month, my left leg bone doesn't grow. He told me to turn back and wait 1 week. After 1 week, my left leg only turn 0.2 mm. Next X-ray, my left leg bone gap is good. He told me to continue to turn 0.6 mm. he suggest his patient LL tibia 0.6 mm per day. One of his patient does 0.4 mm. He did 5.5 cm. He has very bad bellaire feet. He did not do ALT, but he spend 1 year to recovery because bellaire feet. You will need ALT surgery in the future because you don't walk or stand. In the end, my feet not only bellaire feet and deformity. My feet were twisted. Dr. Salameh know how to treat feet deformity. I did feet surgery to correct not only bellaire feet but also feet deformity. Standing or walking is best way to overcome bellaire feet. But your device is not strong enough, so you can't stand or walk. Your feet and your tibia need to maintain 90 degree all the time. You don't listen to other people suggestion. It's your leg and it's your decision. No body will suffer, except you. Your doctor is very irresponsible for his patient. He just wants money. Don't care about his patient. You will have long time to recovery (If you stop now, your can walk without crutches like 3 months. But if you continue LL, you can walk without aid at least 1 year. 1 year is really good condition and really luck. If you bone doesn't grow, someone still use crutches 3 years) Good luck.
