This inspiring story features  a skilled doctor, Dr. Hirdesh Kumar (founder of height increase info ) / DHK Healthcare who played a crucial role in helping their patient achieve their height goals.

May 2024: My journey with limb lengthening began in the first week of May when I underwent surgery. The first few days were fairly manageable as I was under epidural anesthesia, which lasted during the surgery and for about five days afterward. During that time, I didn’t feel any pain, which was a relief. However, after the anesthesia wore off, things became more challenging. I was moved to the rehabilitation facility to begin the process of lengthening my limbs. The first week post-surgery was tough—I couldn’t move around much on my own and needed assistance for even the simplest of activities like going to the bathroom. Ice packs and some medication helped ease the discomfort, but it wasn’t easy. By the end of May, though, I had lengthened about 1.5 cm. Regular X-rays were taken every 20 days to monitor my progress, which gave me a sense of how my body was responding.

June 2024: In June, things got better. Up until I reached 3 cm, the process felt
like a piece of cake. The discomfort was minimal, and I didn’t need daily
painkillers, just an occasional one here and there. I was able to move
around more independently with the help of a rolling chair, which was a
huge step forward. I also started physiotherapy twice a day, which
continued throughout the entire lengthening process. In addition to physio, I
was using muscle and bone stimulators to support my recovery. The
caretakers at the facility were incredibly helpful, and always around when I
needed them. This period also marked my first trip back to the gym—just
mild upper-body exercises, but it felt great to regain some of my strength.

July 2024: By July, I had lengthened 5 cm and started to feel the strain. My body was beginning to show signs of how much it could handle. The discomfort increased, and I had to take a few more painkillers than before. I also dialed back my exercise routine, as pushing myself too hard wasn’t worth the pain. Despite these challenges, I made significant progress and by the third week of July, I had lengthened a little over 6 cm. This marked a big milestone because it was time for my frames to be removed. The removal process took about two hours under general anesthesia, which, unlike the first surgery, was only required during the procedure. After the surgery, I was back at the rehab the next day, and three days later, I had my bandages removed. My legs were slightly swollen, but thankfully, the swelling subsided within a few days. For the rest of July, I took things slow, focusing only on my twice-daily physiotherapy sessions while giving my body time to rest.

August 2024: August came, and with it, more milestones. My stitches were removed, and I began strength training, cycling, and standing for the first time in months. Standing was painful at first, but after about a week, the discomfort started to ease. The real turning point came about 15 days into August when I started walking with the help of a walker. These were the first actual steps I had taken in nearly four months, and while it was difficult, I was surprised at how manageable it was. I think my low body weight helped me here—I’m slim and weigh less than 50 kg, so there wasn’t much pressure on the internal nails, and walking became easier. One minor setback occurred when I noticed some plasma oozing from one of my osteotomy sites. Fortunately, it was dealt with immediately and didn’t cause any further issues.
