Some People here are making me literally laugh like they wanna lengthen 3cm n crap?? Seriously??no one will ever notice it not even you after some period.i love how people from old forum didnt give a crap about proportions and did good amount of lengthening.i know17 or 20cm may be too much(maybe i dont know but if they want then its great).like brother u wanted to grow taller.did u even care about your proportions before knowing there is such thing as limb lengthening?? And also did u even care how short or long one's arms, torso or legs are??All everyone cares is how good you look. Get it over people!!! Do whatever is your dream.*uck proportions know one will ever know or pointout!!

I don't see the problem with being cautios about proportions. There is a point where it gets obvious and If you've reached that point it's probably too late already. Also as long as you have natural proportions you run a lower risk of harming your bio mechanics (since the amount of gained length will be lower).
Reaching my dream height woud not be worth looking like a dwarf on tilts for me, but everyone is different I guess.

Proportions are very important: no women on a man which is tall but looks like a cartoon character with too long legs. I also think that 3 cm is just a waste of money and pain. In my opinion, a single surgery is good for 7-10 cm max. I hope to reach 170-173 cm, no more, because at this height this feature of your body become secondary if compared to others (muscles, face, money, smartness, ecc...). Seriously, I don't want to be tall, just not short.  to all the proportionate nazis!!!

What's the point of being tall if you look weird and ugly?

I honestly think height is pointless unless your body can "carry it" so to speak. Better then to be short and well-proportioned.

So far OBG and maybe Christopherbuilder are the only ones I've seen with proportions that actually looks close to completely normal.

Guys, I'm on a self acceptance kick so my height neurosis meter is pretty low right now. Hopefully it stays this way, however, I'd like to throw in my two cents on this topic.

IMO, if you must go down the CLL path, there is a sweet spot for the amount of lengthening, which for most people, satisfies all three requirements mentioned: economically justifiable, biomechanics safety, and maintaining normal proportions.

That amount is 4-5 CM for 90% of people. Now two major factors must be taken into account, one is wingspan, the other is inseam/height. You should avoid being a significant outlier in either of those, which means keeping ape index above -1 inch, and keeping inseam/height below the magic 48%. The third factor is your tib/femur ratio. The closer it is to normal, the more noticeable your CLL will be when not wearing pants.

If you are average height, please think long and hard about this procedure. If you choose to accept yourself, you will be happier than refusing to accept yourself and going for CLL instead. You will just fund another aspect of yourself to scrutinize once you're done with lengthening.

These replies show that indeed people on this new forum are worried and are all about proportions.by the way weird and ugly?? U must be kidding no ones gonna look weird and ugly with 10 to 15 cm lengthening.y do peoplenon this forum be like your wingspan should not be shorter than your height?? Like seriously if ud think in that way even longer wingerspan than one's height comes under disproportionation.and also dont use terms like weird and ugly it aint gonna happen.speaking next thing i think wingspan n stuff is bull .Arms length matters the most but even then slightly shorter  arms aint mean nothing.but everyone has their own personal opinions so i cant say anything because at the end you are responsible for whatever you have done in your life.In simple way your life your choice to all the proportionate nazis!!! and this is my personal opinion

Sorry for the late response, it took me a while to decipher your grammar.

I'd like you to show me someone who doesn't look weird and ugly after lengthening more than 10CM, now I realize you may have a higher tolerance for disproportion than me so I'll tell you what I consider weird: abnormaly long legs, small torso, short arms, narrow shoulders, unnatural tibia to femur ratio and a tall thin frame without enough width.

I don't get hung up on number, my wingspan is naturally 5CM shorter than my height, I care how it looks.

Height beats proportions, people are generally insecure with their height, not with their proportions

Most people don't worry about proportions (though perhaps they should) because most people are proportionate. Us lengtheners don't have that luxury.
