Thanks!
So the only option is "learning" to sleep straight on the back, the belly up pointing to the ceiling?

Sleep straight? With stomach facing up? Without a pillow right? I sometimes slept that way.

Yeah.  Although once I woke up with my legs flat on the bed, feet facing up, but with my torso twisted sideways and my neck and arms hanging off the edge of the bed, with my face looking down at the floor.  My roommate thought it was funny.  I was so tired of sleeping on my back that I'd moved into that weird position while sleeping. Why is sleeping difficult after LL?

Without a pillow under the head is easier? I should try but that seems extra strain in the neck, no?

Quote from: HeightJourney2021 on January 22, 2022, 01:47:01 AMWhen you sleep at night, your body shifts around to make your body more comfortable.

When you are lengthening, you can't shift your body around so easily while sleeping. You sleep on your back and are stuck in that position, and when you wake up about 2 hours later, your back and glutes and back leg muscles are sore and have poor circulation from that same position. So when you wake up like 2 hours later, you need to get up and stretch, let pressure off your back muscles, and get better circulation flowing throughout your body.

This is one helpful tip! But I wanted to revive this topic and see if other veterans have more suggestions.

Sleep just doesn't come easy. I feel sleepy at night but in any position pain starts after 10-15 mins. I keep shifting on sides, prone etc. soooo many times but still cant sleep!

I just wanted to attach myself to this comment and say that I am experiencing the same exact pains... I can hold each position for 10 or 15 minutes only, then need to turn, then need to go pee, then I'm thirsty....

Sleeping prone makes my knees and quads so swollen and painfuland I can't sleep on my back.

Ketamine nasal spray works really well against discomfort and related restlessness.  It can be prescribed for pain or mental illness.  I think most people here can qualify based on at least one of those.
