Quote from: AllinStryde on May 23, 2022, 01:58:44 PMI stopped at 7 cm as well. Essentially, I was so tight that my doctor said I had to take a 2 week break to let soft tissues have a break. I said, you know what...7 cm is good for me, I am done. I am so happy I stopped right there. Continuing would have been insanity on my muscles and soft tissues, and also the proportion thing. My advice to LL'ers is just because it "goes" to 8 cm, doesn't mean you can or should. Thanks for your videos HJ, I see them on Cyborg4Life as well. Keep up the great work.
Well said. Safety should be first and maxing the length should be second. However, a significant number of people have a "I need to get my money's worth" mentality, so it ends up being the other way around.
Precice 2.2 on femurs with Dr Assayag (March 2021)
You are 5'9 now or a hair shorter. I have seen your video about how you feel with the height especially compared to people 6' and above and saw how happy you were and satisfied you were. I think that rebreaking the legs for 3.5cm (which still is a considerable gain in my opinion) after already being average height is something that should be taken with extreme caution. About the outward pointing feet, usually surgeons don't operate unless it is giving you life affecting symptoms since everything is about the risk/benefit ratio in surgery.
If I were you, I would wait till I no longer need physio from the first surgery, really get out there to enjoy the new height (socially and romantically) and afterwards when LL is no longer a big part of your life (which it is as of this moment) decide with clear vision if you want to go with it or no.
And yes, I want to do LL because I want to be average height as this is the only thing I am not happy about in my life (already have a GF, a nice job and good social circle)
Anyway, take care

What is your external tibial torsion angle? Could it not be fixed directly with an IM nail?
Quote from: HeightGain on June 28, 2022, 05:46:58 PMWhat is your external tibial torsion angle? Could it not be fixed directly with an IM nail?
It's not necessary to state the exact angle of torsion. Yes, it can be fixed with a static IM nail and covered under insurance, but I took this unique opportunity to include tibial lengthening with Precice 2.2 nails instead of a static IM nail and have a good portion of the tibial lengthening surgery covered under insurance.
