I appreciate your diary but this is marketing for Assayag.
He is a good doctor but having his few diares on top if the search bar or on YouTube does not add skills to him ,just more clients and this is no different from what dr.M do.
No one is stupid here n I am not the only one noticing this ; who wants to follow you has the YouTube channel so I don't feel like this is needed especially because there are no feedbacks or discussions going on in the topic.
This is sad because I had this surgeon in the back of my mind but he wants to earn clients very heavily and his website, his presence here n his diares are just too much according to me .
Just my pov !

Just to make it clear, I am not marketing for Dr Assayag. I am not getting paid, nor am I receiving any benefits, commissions, or discounts. If you decide not to go to Dr Assayag because you think I am marketing for him, it really doesn't matter to me because I am not getting paid in any form.
This is my diary of my leg lengthening surgery journey and everything I learned from my first hand experiences and research, and I am linking to it on this forum because this is a limb lengthening forum so it can help forum members, LL patients, and those considering or researching LL surgery. There are very few resources out there and very few LL patients who want to share their first hand knowledge and experiences, so I am doing my part to contribute and educate on this large and complex field of limb lengthening surgery.
Yes, I primarily mention Dr Assayag, but that is how leg lengthening surgery goes. A LL patient (and there are very few around but growing) will only see one doctor in his/her lifetime (maybe two in extremely rare cases). It's not like I'm reviewing restaurants where I can go to as many different restaurants as I wish. If I went with Dr Paley instead, you could mistakenly say that I am marketing for Dr Paley because I don't review other doctors as much.

Hi! Wondering how long you had to stay at the facility after surgery? How soon could I go on a plane ride back home and do PT in my home state.

I stayed at the hospital for 3 days after surgery. Then I lengthened at a nearby housing for almost 3 months, then stayed another 4 weeks into consolidation before driving home.
Unfortunately, the Precice 2 nails are partial weight bearing (70 pounds limit for the largest size), so before you go on a plane, you will need to be able to walk independently. Maybe (though unlikely) with crutches, but you'll have to figure out how to transport your luggage on crutches. So with the Precice 2, you will have to stay nearby during the distraction phase, plus another 2 to 3 more months in the consolidation phase, before you are able to walk independently and get on a plane.
Hi,
Has Dr. Assayag advised or prescribed you any supplements, or calcium at least (I suppose)?
And what about diet? Has he told you to raise your normal caloric intake?

Since surgery I've been taking 5000 IU Vitamin D and 1500 mg Calcium in supplements. I've recently reduced those doses to 2000 IU Vitamin D and 750 mg Calcium in supplements last February (about 10.5 months after surgery) since I am almost done consolidation.
Diet, just eat well balanced meals higher in protein and less in fat, and reduce sugar. Lengthening takes more calories because metabolism goes up, but a few weeks after I finished lengthening my metabolism went back to normal.
