Quote from: Deads on November 26, 2015, 11:31:43 PMI noticed that myself actually.. I thought maybe you had a broad back and shorter arms.. I will double check.. Just to clarify, you measure from the boney bit that sticks out at the top of your shoulder right?

Arm length is from the acromion bone (google it) to the tip of the middle finger.

Initially I got my gf to measure my arm from the Acromion Bone with my arm by my side standing up. This still yielded 77 cm.. I then decided to try measuring my arm with it out straight, parallel to the floor. This took me down to around 71cm... I have large shoulders and I think the extra size is taken out of the equation once I lift my arms parallel to the floor... Ever seen cases of measurements being out because of additional muscle mass?

Either way, I think 71cm makes more sense because if I had 78cm arms it would mean my back would be quite scrawny.

I found something that was 9cm tall. I stood on it while looking in the mirror. I look absolutely fine. I think that as well as heights we also look at wingspans as a number rather than how it actually looks. Different people have different builds and other factors which affect how the overall height increase is perceived. I got my gf to look at me and give me her honest feedback. She said that i looked fine.. I have a big back and shoulders on me, so I think that really helps with the perception also.

Lesson learned: everyone is unique. Let's stop analysing proportion numbers and actually look at real life mock-ups. Proportion numbers should only be used as a guide IMO.

Upperland: find something 4cm and stand on it. I'm sure you'll find that you look absolutely fine.. Forget the numbers and actually SEE what you're working with.

Btw. I got my gf to measure my arms again. The other day she was at work and I was trying to measure it myself (nearly impossible).

At resting length (by my side) the measurement was 75.5cm, and then parallel to the floor was 73cm. So I've averaged it down to 74.25cm.

I don't know what is considered long or short for arm length in relation to your height, but if I'm close to Upperland who is naturally 5"10 then I consider that a good thing.

I've spent so much time on my toes that I've almost gotten used to being 4-5 cm taller. I do look fine at 182 cm but 185 is starting to look a bit off -and that's how tall I'll be in shoes.

You wear shoes with 3cm?? That's how much height my formal leather shoes give me. They have a bit of a heel on them too.. Just wear flatter shoes

I honestly think it's all in your head.. Give us some mock-ups

Can't get someone to take it for you? I guess if you get a camera with a timer on it you could set it on a chair or something.

I just think it's kinda awkward, btw do you have any tips on how I can make antural lifts that give me 4 cm?

I'm thinking of just stuffing some boots with additional insoles.

Is this so you can see how you feel with 4cm extra or just to wear all of the time instead of getting surgery?

You can buy insoles with specific cms.
