I'm getting LL done in June and I've done a lot of research and the only thing I can't wrap my head around is not being able to walk for 6 months.

How did you LL veterans that used precice non weight bearing nails deal with this?

In my head this would be the worst part of this surgery but I'd like to hear from LL veterans that have done this already with the precice 2.2 nails

I did externals, but the toughest part in general was the constant exhaustion from multiple sleepless nights.

Would you advise sleeping pills to knock yourself out?

Everybodys LL journey is different. I for the most part didnt have a lot of pain and slept quite well except for the first 2-3 weeks. Internals are definitely easier to handle than externals or lon. For me the worst part was the waiting and the years of uncertainty before I was able to get it done. Nothing during LL was even close as bad as all the mental pain I endured all my life, because of my height.

In regard to the non-walking, you will get used to it. Humans are masters at adapting to  ty situations.

Yes.  I took one every night that I had brought from America.  I think they helped me out a lot; the hospital was full of insomniacs mostly taking cat-naps.

What brand of sleeping pills would you recommend Medium? I would like something that's not addictive or habit forming?

Looks like I'll be trying them out, then. Sleep is super important to me.

I took Trazodone.  It's prescription-only though.

The biggest negative for me is going to be not being allowed to squat and deadlift for over half a year. Gosh, that still pains me.
