Quote from: meursault on February 28, 2015, 11:45:24 PMIdeal height is probably anywhere 6'4"+ and under 7'0", though i'm sure there are guys 7'0"+ who can pull off their height but I haven't met them. Your bones should ideally scale somewhat proportionally as you get taller, meaning your entire body frame and skull increases in size. Problems arise when you just grow vertically, but I don't think this is much of a problem for the amount LLers are lengthening.

This study points to it being 6'5" to 6'8", which is reasonable to me.
What is the ideal male height?

You are fundamentally wrong. I asked a few gay guys and female friends (who do not know about my height surgery). Most of them said 1.83 is too tall, except one who said that up to 2.00 is fine. I come from SG where average height is about 174. So add 2 cm to get to America, 1.85 is THE UPPER LIMIT for LL in America. and maybe 1.89 in Scandinavia.

Quote from: ReadRothbard on January 26, 2015, 06:20:53 AMI vote for about 6'0 to 6'1 (for the United States). It's taller than average, but not so tall to be outside of normal. What do you think?

I would agree with you, esp if you check Hollywood heights. At 6 feet and 6'1" you are essentially one of the taller men in Hollywood. And we know that celebrities do inflate their height. So, yeah!

And celebrities are slightly taller than the average person.

Quote from: meursault on March 01, 2015, 12:05:26 AMWomen like musicmaker that claim to not like 'too tall' guys do exist but they are few in number and I would rather look at what women do than what they say. And all my experience points to very tall males having no handicaps in the dating world, and certainly not in the business world.

You are totally wrong. THe fact that women like Diso, and MM exist here, when females are in small numbers(in fact, very very few), means that in the GENERAL population, there must be quite a percentage of women who think that 190 cm for instance is too tall.

The ideal height is 6'0".  this is 100% backed up by what I asked of girls and gay guys. They said that 1.83 is already too tall. So I think good luck to your dates, if you become 7 feet.

Of course, it might be a different story on the basketball court or if you are a pro-basketball player. But the average guy,1.83 is good. And he can play basketball comfortably (though average or one of the shorter ones in a semi-pro league)

I care about what women do, not what they say. And I would bet my life on the fact they would go crazy in delight if a 183cm+ were to approach them. You realize women will blatantly lie to your face about many things?

I have facts, you have anecdotal evidence. For some reason my picture I posted isn't displaying, so let me reup it. You truly live in a fantasy world to believe that a height that is just conveniently 1 or 2 cms above your target height after tibia lengthening is too tall. It's very transparent what you are claiming and it's very dishonest as well.

What is the ideal male height?

Men that are very tall have a marked advantage over 6'0" or so males. Women remark about how tall you are, they will stare at you in the street, and there is a large proportion of height fetisihist women that desire very tall males, and their demand far outstrips the supply of said very tall males.

That is fundamentally wrong! You have a distorted mindset. (see my thread on this)

Also, please see my thread on Hollywood heights. There must be a reason why most of them are 185 cm maximum.

And obviously you failed your comprehension tests in elementary school. I already said that 183 is too tall FOR MY COUNTRY with an average of 174-ish. So I think 185 Is too tall in America. (and maybe 189 in Scandinavia).

It goes without saying that my target height I will choose is one suited for MY COUNTRY. Ie, why would I choose 189? For someone in the Scandinavia, probably the best height to feel tall is 189.

Please screen yourself for mental illness. (I am a medical student, you have all the hallmarks)

Very strong projection here. All I do is destroy your fragile assertions that are rooted in insecurity and suddenly i'm mentally ill. I did see your thread on that, in fact I utterly debunked your assertions in that thread and revealed your true nature. You're just a male that is trying to justify leg lengthening as an average height male in your country, and at the same time assert that anyone over your new goal height is 'too tall'. Most insane thing i've ever seen here.

Please look at the data and it speaks for itself:

As can be seen, the average height is as I have said. You have so few posts, and yet talk too much. I have read most posts and came to a solid conclusion. 183 is too tall in Singapore, and 185-188 for the States. Probably 189 for Scandinavia.

Dude, no fragile assertions. I searched for the ideal height. And I found it. That was why I wanted to lengthen only to 182 cm, shy of 183 cm. Because, I asked girls extensively about their thoughts. I did not suggest to them that 183 is too tall. I said: if there are a few guys 170 175 178 181 183 185 190 who would you choose? Most of them chose 178 or 181. I can replicate this experiment in  a Singapore forum if you wish. I probed further: 183 is too tall? they said yeah, stands out too much, hard to kiss, a bit weird.. etc.

If you want, I can replicate this. I can put a poll on Singapore forums and lets see whats the result? What is the ideal male height? I said I came to these conclusions, for a reason, unlike you who ASSUME facts without base. Baseless assertions! What is the ideal male height?

Seeing you scramble to piece together your annihilated fragments is pretty hilarious. First you claim that no country has an average height of 6', and you were [rightfully] told off by me. Now you're throwing numbers at me about the height of Scandinavian military conscripts (not even the general population), when I wasn't even talking about Scandinavia; I was talking about the Netherlands. I didn't even mention the more rural areas of the dinaric alps, which have average male heights of 6'1 and over. To make it even better, these Scandinavian heights you are throwing at me are only very slightly beneath the 6 feet you claimed no country had as an average. You're humiliating yourself.

The fact of the matter is that the men at the heights you claim to be 'too tall' have no struggles in the dating market whatsoever, certainly not due to their height. You can throw anecdotes at me, and I can respond with accounts of tall men with decent faces I've known getting massive amounts of female attention (far more than those of average height) by just breathing.

Of course your female friends and family members would lie to you, maybe they even believe what they're saying. But womens' actions are different, it means nothing next to the vim and desire with which a woman looks upon a tall man. Just like a woman saying your face isn't that big of a deal or something of the sort.

What is the ideal male height?

Furthermore, being 'too tall' is infinitely superior to being 'too short'. 'Too short' is essentially a sexual death sentence every single time, whereas 'too tall' carries much less of a negative connotation- we're more talking preferences and nitpicking rather than visceral disgust that women have toward men beneath their height threshold. They would date a man who is 'too tall', while they would never consider a man who is 'too short'. This isn't even mentioning women who prefer that height.

Funny how the ideal height coincides perfectly with the height you can (and desire to) achieve with limb lengthening surgery. Maybe it's not ideal though, just a thought.

I did not ask my family members.  I have asked female friends and random girls on the internet. Why would they lie to me, if they do not know about my surgery? Plus. when i meet them i am about 180. due to lifts. They said 182 is Okay. 183? too tall already. Most of them came to the same conclusion: 183 is too tall in Singapore. I was so shocked. I wanted 188 or so but  I was forced to concede. There is a certain extent, whereby things are really too much. And height is one thing. You can be skinny and attractive, but too skinny for a woman? Nope, not attractive. Look up attractiveness theories: average face is somewhat more attractive. This confirms my hypothesis that "too tall" or 3 standard deviations or so from average, is really, not attractive.

If you were to look at your infographic carefully the ideal height is about 6 feet, that is where the peak is. It experiences that decline that I spoke about (remember? my anecdotal evidence. which is now supported) after about 6 feet or 6'1". As I have already said, in America, too tall is probably 185 - 188 cm.

I like this infographic.Where did you get it from? it inadvertently supports my conclusions because you have very poor comprehension and reading skills. I wonder if you even went into a university, let alone high school.

go to a party and see for yourself, the 6foot7 hunk will get all the attention. the fact that girls say 6foot is too tall, means 6foot is the minimum height they see worthy of an Short Term Relationship. when you ask girls what the ideal height is, they telling you in terms of Long Term Relationship, not STR. They want men at taht height so they dont have to worry about you cheating on them, and so they can control the relationship (not being outshined by their partner)
